Michael Ius

Michael Ius is a Romanian classical music guitarist who later transitioned into techno, showcasing his versatility as an artist. He graduated from the George Enescu Music High School, followed by the Music University in Bucharest, where he specialized in classical guitar. Being a live sound engineer for live bands and a pop music producer, Michael was always drawn to the technical side of music. In 2012, when he discovered techno, it was an instant connection. In 2020, Michael began searching for a distinctive sound he genuinely enjoyed producing, one that resonated with him personally. After three and a half years of experimentation and development, he finally found it. Consistently producing in his refined style, he started receiving support from prominent underground artists and labels, leading to releases on “Maloer Records”, “OUT OF PLACE”, “SYXT”, “Duplicity”, and more, as well as his own “IUS” series on Bandcamp. His music is supported by: Lobster, MARRØN, Amoral, Lindsey Herbert, MKO, Grace Dahl, and more.
