Ovidiu Andrei

Ovidiu Andrei is a Romanian DJ whose musical identity is rooted in minimalist electronic music, shaped by techno and dub influences and a strong fascination with atmosphere, space, and the organic elements of sound. His connection with electronic music gradually developed into a deeper exploration of DJing and sound, refining an approach built around subtlety, texture, and carefully selected music rather than convention. In 2012, together with his close friend Pusherman (Daniel Dumitrescu), he formed De Dormitor, initially as a DJ duo. The project later evolved into an independent online netlabel dedicated to authentic, forward-thinking electronic music and creative freedom within Romania’s underground scene. Through De Dormitor and his own musical path, Ovidiu continues to develop a distinctive approach to electronic music, remaining connected to the minimalist, techno and dub influences that have defined his sound from the beginning.
