Pusherman (Daniel Dumitrescu) was born in Ploiești, Romania, and has been deeply connected to electronic music from an early age. His journey behind the decks began in 2006, when a full DJ setup — a birthday gift from his uncle — sparked countless hours of exploration and self-expression through sound.
Between 2008 and 2012, Pusherman and his friends organized a series of underground raves on the outskirts of Ploiești, intimate gatherings that became a foundation for his musical growth. During this period, he shared the decks with artists such as Arapu, Boola, Kozo, Mauss, Melodee, Miss I, Piticu, SIT (Vlad Caia & Cristi Cons), and Suciu, experiences that helped shape his fluid and mature sound — a blend of house and techno defined by warmth, subtle groove, and atmosphere.
In 2012, he formed De Dormitor with Ovidiu Andrei, a duo that later evolved into an online netlabel dedicated to authentic, forward-thinking electronic music and creative freedom within Romania’s underground scene.
A year later, in 2013, he performed alongside his close friend Endre at Keep On Going, one of London’s renowned warehouse parties, sharing the lineup with Lamache (Toi Toi Musik), Monika Ross (Serialism Music), and Tred Benedict (Spilt Milk). Since then, he has played in clubs across Bucharest and some throughout Romania, remaining a steady and respected presence within the local scene.
Guided by a clear artistic vision and a deep love for timeless electronic sounds, Pusherman continues to refine his craft — staying true to the underground roots that shaped him while exploring new directions in sound.
